Sharon Jewell is an artist in her 70s living in Madison Park. She is a perpetual student at Seward Park Clay Studio, where she fires her porcelain figurines called "Unusual Suspects."
Jewell works with her pet parrot Reggiano on her shoulder, who naturally became her muse in creating small animals full of quirks and personality. Most "Unusual Suspects" are given their very own idiosyncratic name. Jewell's sculptures, which can fit I the palm of ones hand, serve as playful pieces of art, emblems of a loved one's personality, or unique talismans.
