Christine holds a BA from the University of California (1969) and an MFA from The Claremont Graduate School (1973). She has taught drawing, painting and printmaking on the college level in California and Oregon. She is a practicing artist and has also had a career as a landscape designer.
Since moving to the Northwest, she has shown her work in juried and invitational exhibitions and is represented by Museo Art Gallery, Langley, WA.
There is a rhythm to life, to the day, to the moment—though in our life of moments we may not recognize this music and be the less for it. What is most likely to remind us of this measured flow of connections that is our birthright, if not the personal vision of the artist?
I see beauty breaking out everywhere, as Emerson put it. I feel called to speak of it through intuition, direct experience, lumps of clay and the experience of many years as a painter, printmaker and a human being with a heart and an eye.
