Jessica is a current resident artist and board member at Seward Park Clay Studio. She was first
introduced to ceramics in architecture school, where she was inspired to use clay to express form and
structure. While traveling through Scandinavia, she became inspired by Nordic minimalism and how it
removes all that is non-essential and leaves simple and bold forms with a clear articulation of thought and purpose. In her most recent series, ancient Asian bells were used as inspiration to generate strong functional forms with refined lines and 'rivets' to enhance the scale and proportion to each piece.
