domicile’s second annual French-themed show featuring the work of Jamie Rawding. This exhibition includes both watercolor and oil paintings inspired by the urban spirit of France.
Jamie Rawding has been creating art for as long as she can remember—beginning in preschool. Years of study and practice have allowed her to experiment and explore in ways that continue to spark curiosity and excitement.
Early in her career, she spent seven years living in Asia, where she explored photography, jewelry design, and other media. After completing a three-year Atelier Program at the Gage Academy in Seattle, she relocated to Paris for two years, an experience that deeply inspired her recent work.
Her time living internationally has had a profound impact on her artistic vision. With a passion for learning about different cultures and immersing herself in language, history, and tradition, she brings a global perspective to her practice. Her work has been exhibited in China, Japan, France, and across the United States. She is currently based in Seattle, WA, where she works from her studio.
An admirer of architecture and the subtle beauty of everyday life, Jamie draws inspiration from the interplay between the mundane and the extraordinary, weaving light and color into stories on the canvas.
